Sacramento County Party Officials
The name of this organization is the Sacramento County Democratic Central Committee, and may be cited as the Democratic Party of Sacramento or similar name. The purpose, structure and operation are fully described in the 2006 Constitution.
The Sacramento County Democratic Central Committee (SCDCC) consists of not less than 30 members who shall be eligible as follows:
Not less than 21 members elected by Assembly District (currently there are 30 elected positions: six each from Assembly Districts 4, 5, 9, 10 and 15
No more than 22 ex-officio members, being the incumbents or nominees for the House of Representatives, State Assembly, or the State Senate for Districts which lie within any part of Sacramento County
Any eligible ex-officio member being the incumbent or nominee for the United States Senate or any Statewide constitutional office whose permanent residence is in Sacramento County
A Member of the State Board of Equalization, District 2, who resides in Sacramento County, may appoint an ex-officio member
If there are more vacancies on the SCDCC than candidates for election, the remaining vacancies are filled by Central-Committee appointment. SCDCC members may appoint an alternate or designee to the SCDCC with the right to vote in the appointing member's absence.
