The Democratic Party of Sacramento County (DPSC) is pleased to announce additional candidate endorsements in the upcoming November 6th election:

Sacramento City Unified School District Trustee, Area 7 – Patrick Kennedy

San Juan Unified School District Trustee – Pamela Costa and Lucinda Luttgen

Natomas Unified School District Trustee – Karen Bernal and Briza Trujillo Cardenas

Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), Director:

  • Ward 2 – Nancy Bui-Thompson
  • Ward 5 – Ben Phillips

According to DPSC Chair Kerri Asbury, “Many of our members remarked on the depth of the field of candidates seeking the DPSC’s endorsement. In several races we had many fine candidates and good Democrats from which to choose, and all candidates had strong supporters. After our process of candidate questionnaires, panel interviews, and input from the candidates and their supporters, the DPSC has voted to endorse a fine group of candidates for the November 6th election. We’re looking forward to getting out into the community in support of our growing slate.”

Candidates for other local offices are now being evaluated for endorsements, which will be determined at the DPSC’s next general meeting in September.

These latest endorsements join the DPSC’s endorsements for Sacramento City Council of Rob Kerth, District Two, and Joe Yee, District Four. Click here for a full list of the DPSC’s endorsements.
