The Democratic Party of Sacramento County is proud to release our 2018 Candidate Questionnaire!
As the governing body of the Democratic Party throughout Sacramento County, we take great care in following a transparent and accessible candidate endorsement process. Please read on for more information on how to participate, either as a candidate or as a member of the interview panels.
You can find our Candidate Questionnaire here: Click To Download
If you have any difficulty accessing or filling out the questionnaire, please contact Shaun Dillon.
Candidates seeking endorsement from the DPSC must fill out the questionnaire – we cannot interview or endorse a candidate who has not done so.

ARE YOU A LOCAL ACTIVIST HOPING TO PARTICIPATE IN CANDIDATE INTERVIEW PANELS?
If you have any questions or would like to participate on Candidate Interview panels, please contact Campaign Service Chair Shaun Dillon at shaun@sacdems.com
You must be an associate or voting member of the DPSC in good standing to be eligible to participate in Candidate Interview panels. If you are unsure of your standing or need to pay your dues, please contact Controller Valeria Hernandez at valeria@sacdems.com
You are ineligible to participate in certain Candidate Interviews if you:
- Have endorsed the candidate or their opponent(s), contributed financially to their campaign or opponent(s), walked/knocked/phonebanked for a candidate or their opponent(s), are employed by an organization with financial ties to the candidate or opponent(s) – for example, by working for a campaign communications firm retained by the candidate or opponent(s) – are staff for the candidate or opponent(s), or are an appointee to the DPSC or CDP of the candidate or opponent(s).
- Are an elected member of the body the candidate seeks endorsement for – for example, a city council board member cannot participate in Candidate Interviews for persons running for that city council, but is welcome and encouraged to participate in sheriff or school board candidate interviews.
Once the interview panel has made a recommendation, that recommendation is then reviewed by the Executive Board and then brought to the General Membership for a vote. You can find a full guide with information about DPSC Endorsement voting here.
We look forward to learning all about Democrats running for office in Sacramento County!
Sincerely,
